Dell ST2010 Monitor, new 20-inch and without DVI

May 12th, 2009 | Filed under Computer 0 Comments

HDMI has emerged, willing or not, the DisplayPort, although the latter has a “latest”. The example is the new 20-inch monitor from Dell, new Dell ST2010. It’s “Distinct and Beautiful — With HD resolution”, that’s Dell calls the ST2010.

This is a low-end displays from Dell, with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels in 16:9 format but
It’s not the real ‘full HD‘ found in a 1200p or 1080p display, the good thing is eliminates the DVI connection for the HDMI. And it has keeping the VGA connection to “just in case.”

ST2010 is an improved backlighting system, it has using only 2 lamps instead of 4 to light up the monitor. This has seen before in Lenovo‘s ecofriendly displays and Dell has claims, it can save 25% more energy over similar products.

Dell ST2010 has offers 160 degrees vertically and horizontally, so it makes ability to tilt the stand to compensate that much more useful. It offers a contrast of 1000:1, brightness of 250cd/m2 and a 5ms response time, you can add to this that does not include a card reader or USB hub port and get a simple screen, both now available in Shop Dell Hong Kong for $ 142 (€ 104) thanks to a discount, original price is $ 245 (€ 180).
