Dell Studio XPS 8000 and 9000 New Lynnfield Desktops

Dell announced its first desktop computers built on basis of the latest Intel processors, Lynnfield. Their desktop PC is Studio XPS 8000 and 9000. Both machines are high-end performance with supports the newest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors.

Detailed specifications of the manufacturer issued only for the Dell Studio XPS 8000, performed in the case of the full-size minitower form factor. The Dell Studio XPS 8000 is based on the P55 chipset and processors; Core i5-750 (2.66 GHz), Core i7-860 (2.8 GHz) or Core i7-870 (2.93 GHz).

This desktop is aimed primarily at gamers, watch and record HD content, solving a variety of multimedia tasks. The basic configuration includes 4GB of RAM DDR3-1066, a 500GB HDD, an ATI Radeon HD 4350 GPU with 512MB of memory (optional nVidia GeForce GT220, GeForce GTS240 or GeForce GTX260) and a DVD-RW drive (Blu-ray optional).

This powerful desktop computer allows installing up to 16GB of RAM and two hard drives for 1.5TB each, combined in an array of RAID0.

Novelty, it also boasts the possibility of installing Sound Blaster X-FiTM Xtreme Audio or Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium. Dell’s New Lynnfield Desktops has a power supply of 350 watts, eight USB port, eSATA port and card reader.

The cost of the computer in the base configuration with a Core i5-750 (2.66 GHz) processor is $799. For more powerful with Core i7-860 and Core i7-870 will increase price of $170 and $380.
