Dell has started selling its Linux-based ultrabook, the Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition, which is first appeared in the last summer. It is aimed to speed, mobility and cloud readiness. As the essentials they want, this Dell XPS 13 is a developer-focused laptop.
The Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition ultrabook boasts a 3GHz Intel Core i7-3517U Ivy Bridge processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB solid-state drive. This machine packs a 13.3-inch display with a narrow frame and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Moreover, it brings integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics, Waves Maxx Audio 4.0, stereo speakers, and a 1.3MP webcam.
Other features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, two USB 3.0 ports and Mini DisplayPort connector. Its 6-cell battery is enabling up to 6 hours of usage. Made from carbon fiber and aluminum, it has weighs 1.36 kg and dimensions of 316 x 205 x 6-18 mm. This ultrabook comes with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
