DeLorme announced the release of a new portable GPS Navigator, PN-30. This navigator has a waterproof shell with a shock-resistant rubber coating on the sides, it is consistent with the IPX7 standard.

DeLorme PN-30 is equipped with 32-channel Cartesio chipset with high sensitivity, as well as TFT-LCD, an image which can be clearly seen even in bright sunlight. Another feature of PN-series model is a function of the aerial mapping database company. There are pre-installed maps of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. In a relatively low cost (about $30 annually), users can download and store on SD card needed aerial imagery of the Map Library. It has supported by a 3D display mode maps. The PN-30 expected will go on sale in July of this year. Its cost will be about $300.
