Denon introduced two new Blu-ray players, known as DBP-2010CI and DBP-1610CI. New items are collected from high-quality components, but at a cost of $700 and $500, they are deprived of some of the functions that are present in much lower-cost solutions.

For example, they do not feature Wi-Fi connections, as well as the ability to connect to online video services such as Netflix or Amazon VOD, where content is transferred to the player in the streaming mode. However, both Blu-ray players’ supports Blu-ray Profile 2.0, and it can play in HD mode, the video formats H.264 AVCHD and DivX. They are also equipped with an Ethernet network port, allowing firmware updates via internet connection, as well as ensuring the implementation of interactive features BD-Live technology. In addition, Blu-ray players support high-quality audio formats; Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio, to enjoy surround sound. However, their implementation is required to purchase an optional receiver.

To improve the quality of sound when playing music from a CD-ROM drive, Blu-ray players have a digital-analog converter Burr-Brown. In addition, older model DBP-2010CI is equipped with analog outputs for the transfer of 7.1-channel audio signal, as well as Anchor Bay video processing system, enhancing details of images from DVD media. In the sale of Denon DBP-2010CI and DBP-1610CI Blu-ray Players come in July.
