Elecom ESD-I2SAA 2.5-inch SSD 64/128GB and ESD-IDSAA SSD 8/16GB
The Japanese manufacturer Elecom has announced two new lines of solutions SSD (Solid State Disk) initialed ESD-IDSAA and ESD-I2SAA. Previous, we had already written Elecom ESD-IDSAA SSD plug. The first range consists of two variants of the moment “nanoSSD” with a capacity of 16GB (ESD-ID016SAA) and 8GB (ESD-ID008SAA). It is smallest in size and weight, amounting to 6.5 (W) x 25 (H) x 39 (D) mm and less than 8g, respectively.
The product line ESD-ISAAA be connected to the motherboard via a SATA II 3.0Gbps slot: The manufacturer declares a read speed for them equal to 75MB/s and write speed of 30MB/s. The platforms target of these drives is embedded systems and computer in SFF (Small Form Factor).
The Elecom ESD-I2SAA Series is instead composed of two variants of the SSD with a shape factor equal to 2.5-inch and a capacity of 64GB (ESD-I2064SAA) in one case and 128GB (ESD-I20128SAA) in the other. Its performance is aligned with those of nanoSSD. Elecom ESD-I2SAA 2.5-inch SSD uses SATA interface and it has a SATA to USB 2.0 adapter that makes easier to copy/backup from laptop to SSD before replace hard drive. This Elecom ESD-I2SAA 2.5-inch SSD is based MLC flash memory.
