Elecom nanoSSD, smallest SSD plugs into SATA slot
The Japanese company, Elecom has introduced a new solid state drives (SSD) series of nanoSSD ESD-IDSAA . Peculiarity of the series is the ability to connect devices directly to the SATA motherboard slot. This gives the read speed of up to 75 MB/s, and write up to 30 MB/s with a weight of only 8 grams and dimensions 39x25x6.5 mm.
What is quite natural, among the benefits of these devices is no noise at work and low cooling requirements. Elecom nanoSSD ESD-IDSAA SSD series has capacity available in 8GB and 16GB.
Manufacturer expects that the proposed solid-state drives (SSD) will find their application as a boot disk to the computer, or as a basic compact form-factor such as PC Mini-ITX. Elecom nanoSSD ESD-IDSAA SSD will be available in Japan a few days. Information about prices has not provided for now.
