Elgato, a popular brand of peripherals for the Mac has released the new Elgato Turbo.264 HD, via video encoder hardware. This peripheral is a small USB stick that can turn those hours of video recorded with your camcorder into a format compatible with any device, both your own computer and a mobile or portable player. You just have to connect to a USB port, connect your camera and software (Mac) will recognize the camera. Just choose that format for export, whether in high definition (720p or 1080p) or one of the predefined formats to PSP, iPod, YouTube or YouTube in the new 720p. It supports various input formats including AVCHD Video, QuickTime, AVI, DV, WMV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 Program/Transport Stream, MPEG-4, MP4, M4V, H.263, H.264 AVC, Xvid, VIDEO_TS.
