Epson L3P05X-91G00 “world’s smallest” begins mass-producing
Epson has announced the start of mass production of new LCD panel. According to the company, these panels are the smallest in the world in the HTPS-TFT (XGA high temperature polysilicon TFT) display designed for use in 3LCD data projectors. This 0.55-inch (1.4 cm) panel has a “native” resolution of XGA (1024×768 pixels). The manufacturer also announced that it is working to increase the resolution of panel type.
According Epson, Epson L3P05X-91G00 is 23% smaller than its predecessor L3P06X-81G00 and allows 3LCD-projectors to obtain the same power of the luminous flux (from 2,000 to 2,600 lumens), with smaller sizes. Mini-bar based on liquid crystal display materials.
This LCD panels will release to offer market projectors with improved price/performance, as well as bring to market an expanded range of products.
