Eurocom Cheetah, world’s first laptop with Core i7 Clarksfield
Eurocom has plans next month to start selling Cheetah laptop, Eurocom W870CU Cheetah. It has built on the Intel Core i7 mobile chip.
Eurocom Cheetah is called “the world’s first laptop computer with a Core i7 Clarksfield processor“. These chips are expected to be presented at IDF 2009, which will be held in San Francisco (California, USA) September 22-24. At first, producers of notebooks will be available three models of the Core i7 with the designation 920XM Extreme Edition, 820QM and 720QM and a clock speed of 2GHz, 1.73GHz, and 1.6GHz, respectively.
In the maximum configuration of Eurocom Cheetah notebook can be equipped with 16GB of memory and three hard drives for a total capacity of 1.5TB (one of the drives in this case will take the place of the optical drive, which can be DVD burner or Blu-ray drive).
Eurocom Cheetah has 17.3-inch display with supports Full HD video 1920×1080 pixels, an nVidia GeForce GTX 260M or GTX 280M or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870XT GPU. The Eurocom Cheetah notebook also brings Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth (optional), four speakers, card reader, webcam and TV tuner. Dimensions of Eurocom Cheetah are 412x279x39-48 mm and weight is about 4kg. There are no words about availability and price of this new notebook.
