Foxconn SZ901P netbook, Intel Pine Trail and Linux at FCC

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) site has published information on the new netbook, Foxconn SZ901P.

Unlike most modern netbook that preloaded with the Microsoft operating system. Foxconn SZ901P netbook will be available in Windows XP and FoxOS version. The FoxOS is made on the basis of the Linux kernel and it has simple specification and intuitive Foxtop UI, combining multimedia capabilities, Internet access services, productivity tools, administrative tools, etc.

Foxconn SZ901P netbook is come with Intel Pine Trail platform, including a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor and an integrated graphics core. Its RAM, hard drive capacity, as well as the screen size is not yet clarified.

We know that Foxconn SZ901P netbook will include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, webcam, 3-in-1 card reader (SD/MMC/MS), and optionally to install the module for 3G mobile networks. In addition, Foxconn netbook has three USB ports and D-Sub connector for an external monitor.
