To take extreme knocks and bumps while users capturing photos, Fujifilm has recently unveiled a new super rugged compact camera, the Fujifilm FinePix XP200. It is specially designed for the outdoors enthusiasts and fans of extreme activities such as rock climbing or scuba diving. Alongside sporty outdoors-centric design, the new FinePix XP200 is also integrated Wi-Fi adapter that allowing wireless image transfer to both computers and mobile devices. In additional, limitation moving pictures to other device from camera is a 30 image per transfer.
Coming with sealed enclosure strength, the Fujifilm FinePix XP200 can operate underwater to depths of 15 meters, shockproof to 2-meters heights, dustproof, and freezeproof (temps down to -10 Celsius).
New XP200 camera has a 16.4-Megapixels 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with 5x optical zoom (focal length of 28-140 mm in 35mm equivalent). It features sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400 and shutter speed range of 1/2000-4 s. This rugged camera has a 3-inch display and SD / SDHC / SDXC memory card slot.
The Fujifilm FinePix XP200 super rugged camera supports video recording with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60 frames per second. It has also a variety of higher-end features such as Pop Color, Toy Camera, Partial Color, Soft Focus, and more.
Weighing 232 grams, its dimensions are 116 x 71 x 30 mm. Available four colors (black, red, yellow and blue), the Fujifilm FinePix XP200 camera will go on sale in May 2013 and price of about $300.
