FujiFilm has just made a big surprise to the photography community in the world. It has announced a new Fujifilm GFX 50S, which brings a 51.4 Megapixel sensor. Amazing, the device is a mirrorless camera to ensure photographer can get a medium format with a 51.4MP resolution.
Keep in mind that Fujifilm GFX 50S offers sensor that measures 43.8 x 32.9. Well, it will give around 1.7 times the size of a 35mm full frame sensor.
The 51.4-megapixel Medium Format Mirrorless Camera from Fujifilm is capable to provide breath-taking amount of details, thanks to the resolution of 8256 x 6192 pixels.
Moreover, it features focal palanar shutter that capable to capture images in as fast a time as 1/4000th of a second. But it offers a quite compact size especially for a medium format camera. Overall, the GFX 50S would be much improved image quality due to lack of mirror shock.
Company hasn’t revealed any information about pricing but the Hasselblad X1D is priced at $8995 as the medium format range.
