The Fusion-io is known for its high-speed and cost SSD solutions, demonstrated another innovative product. This is a ioDrive Duo SSD (solid-state drive). The first device is targeted at the server station, or even ordinary users who are willing to pay for high speed and reliability. The device exchanges data through the interface of PCI Express, while the alleged continuous bandwidth ioDrive Duo is about 1.5 gigabytes per second.
Model ioDrive Duo comes in several versions with different capacity. Users will be made available storage volume of 160, 320, 640 and 1280 GB. ioDrive Duo easily write data at speeds up to 1.5 GB / s and reads at a speed of 1.4 GB / s, while making about 200 thousand I/O operations per second. The average delay time is 50 milliseconds.
New ioDrive Duo will be on sale in April this year, the price is not yet known, but it can be assumed that it would be quite high. Model capacity 1.28 TB will be on sale during the second half of 2009.
