The new rugged notebook has introduced by GammaTech that called the GammaTech Durabook S15C. The newest laptop has a magnesium alloy case that claimed 20 times stronger than ABS plastic.

The GammaTech Durabook S15C rugged laptop is able to protect the system from damage in the toughest working environments and tested to MIL-STD 810G specification for shock, drop, and spill protection. For protect important data, GammaTech Durabook S15C is utilized a flexible hard drive cable design for absorbs shock from drops.

GammaTech Durabook S15C rugged notebook has features a brilliant 15.6-inch HD display with resolution of 1366 x 768 or FHD+ resolution (1920 x 1080). The GammaTech S15C is powered by a choice of Intel i7 and i5 processors, dual-channel DDR III SODIMM slots (up to 8GB), an Intel HM55 chipset, 2.5-inch 9.5mm 250GB/320GB/500GB HDD (SATA II 300), and Intel integrated graphics.

The GammaTech Durabook S15C notebook has also a choice of DVD super-multi drive or Blu-Ray combo drive, spill-resistant keyboard, touchpad and switches, 2×1.5W stereo speakers, one SmartCard slot, 4-in-1 media card reader (MS/MS Pro/SD/MMC), one Express Card 34/54 slot, three USB 2.0 ports, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n or b/g/n, Ethernet LAN, and optional 1.3MP webcam.

Dimensions of GammaTech Durabook S15C are 370 x 276 x 37.5~40 mm and weight 3kg (with 6 cell battery) / 3.2kg (with 9 cell battery). The price of GammaTech S15C is still unknown at moment.
