Taiwanese brand, Genius has released a pocket-sized digital video camera, namely Genius G-Shot HD501. It is a rugged device that enclosed in a durable and water resistant housing (meet IP43 specification).
The Genius G-Shot HD501 DV camera is equipped with 1 megapixel CMOS sensor with autofocus, which allows recording 720p HD video format (1280×720 pixels) with H.264 compression. In addition, the Genius G-Shot HD501 can capture still image with maximum 3 megapixels.
Genius G-Shot HD501 Camera is equipped with 2-inch vivid LCD display, MP3 player, a SD memory card slot (up to 16 GB), a rechargeable Li-ion battery, and a HDMI port.
The package includes strap with compass and application software to edit/quickly upload video on YouTube and Facebook. The cost of new Genius G-Shot HD501 is not reported.
