Getac has upgraded its fortified industrial Tablet PC with Getac V100. This rugged tablet PC has a resistive touch screen with a resolution of 2048 x 2048 pixels with support for multi-touch, and work is performed under the Windows 7 operating system.
Getac V100 Multitouch, according to the manufacturer, is now able to easily and quickly perform many tasks on the screen, such as move, copy, delete, zoom, rotate one touch of the screen. Interestingly, the resistive multi-touch technology allows user to perform these actions and while wearing protective gloves. This makes it suitable for industrial and field specialists who work with hazardous chemicals or doing their work in extreme weather conditions. Response time the screen is less than 35 ms.
Multitouch technology also ensures compatibility with operating system, Windows 7. There is no word about release date of new Getac V100 tablet PC, perhaps it will happen soon after the release of Windows 7.
