Gigabyte Dual-boot Windows-Android Tablet
Gigabyte has shared its plans to release its tablet for this year. According to the Senior Vice President Richard Ma, Gigabyte will unveil two tablets with 7-inch and 10-inch. The smaller device will be installed on Android 2.x, while the other one is Android 3.0 (Honeycomb).
Due in October, the Gigabyte tablet lineup is comes with Android and Windows 7 OS that allowing users choose OS when they start up the tablet.
Both Gigabyte tablets (in July and October) will powered by Intel Atom processor but lack USB port, it will be available for price less than $400.
At the end of the year, Gigabyte will bring its tablet with Windows 8 OS to the market. Most likely, this gadget will use an ARM SoC chip.
Back to CeBIT March 2011, the company is presented the Gigabyte S1080 tablet. It is packs a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, dual-core Atom N550 processor, 320GB hard drive, and USB 3.0 port. The Gigabyte S1080 is runs Windows platform 7 Home Premium OS.
