Gionee, the phone manufacture from India, is preparing to release its budget-friendly smartphone, the Gionee GPad G3. The phone is really successor to the Gionee GPad G2, which comes with improved feature but same low price tag.
The Gionee GPad G3 smartphone boasts a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 1GB of RAM, as well. On hardware front, there is a massive 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, and a VGA front-facing snapper for video chat.
Packed by 9.6mm thick, it is also equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera (with autofocus and LED Flash), 4GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone is reportedly bringing Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The new Gionee GPad G3 packs Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, and aGPS. Other features are FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2250 mAh battery.
Like usual smartphones on Indian market, Gionee GPad G3 delivers dual-SIM card slots with dual-standby and GSM+GSM networks. There is no word on official price of Gionee GPad G3 phone but it will hit shelves around Rs 11,000 (about $166).
