Green House develops 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch PATA SSDs

In addition to the announcement of new patterns of SSD with an SATA models, the Green House company has announced the upcoming release of several similar devices connected to computer via PATA interface. New flash drives will come in the form factor of 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch, it will be available in versions with single-level cell (SLC) and multi-level cell (MLC). The first category includes models with a capacity of 16, 32, and 64GB, while the latter will range from 16 to 128GB.
According to the manufacturer, the new SSDs have a MTBF (mean time before failure), more than two million hours, while the maximum power consumption is not beyond the limits of 1.5 watts. With regard to performance, 1.8-inch drives can provides the speed of reading and writing data to the up to 65 MB/s and 55 MB/s for SLC models and up to 60 MB/s and 35 MB/s for MLC models, respectively. A 2.5-inch disks similar rates of 70 MB/s and 60 MB/s for SLC models and 60 MB/s and 40 MB/s for MLC models, respectively. Cost and timing of the sale of 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch Green House SSD with PATA interface has not yet been reported.
