G.Skill Falcon II fast SSD in 2.5-inch

G.Skill introduced a second generation of Falcon solid-state drives (SSD), Falcon II, intended for use in notebooks, netbooks and compact desktops.

New G.Skill Falcon II SSD is made in the 2.5-inch flash NAND memory technology for multi-level cell. It is connect to PC through Serial ATA II interface; average access time of less than 0.2ms. According to specifications, G.Skill Falcon II SSD can withstand up to 1500g, and +1,500,000 Hours of MTBF.

G.Skill Falcon II SSD will be available 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of capacities. For the younger version, it is alleged speed of reading and writing data at 220MB/s and 110MB/s, respectively. G.Skill Falcon II 128GB and 256GB can read data at speeds of 220 MB/s, and write data at speed of 150 MB/s. All G.Skill Falcon II SSDs are equipped with 64MB of memory DRAM, which serves as a buffer.

G.Skill Falcon II solid state drives series support implemented in Windows 7, team TRIM, which allow extending their service life and optimizing performance. G.Skill Falcon II SSD granted a two-year warranty. Their costs are not reported.
