Handheld, the famous of durable mobile device maker, today announced an enhanced version of its notebook, the Handheld Algiz XRW. It will be available starting late February 2013 and becoming one of the lightest and most compact rugged laptops ever. Designed to survive the harsh outdoors or drops, the Algiz XRW is perfectly for people who works in harsh environments.
The new Algiz XRW rugged notebook boasts a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual-core processor. It is housing with durable plastic and rubber, which meets IP65 and MIL-STD 810G standard. However, this laptop has been drop tests from 1.2 meters and capable to works in extreme temperatures (from minus 20 C to 55 C).
Handheld Algiz XRW laptop is offering a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and MaxView technology that delivers clarity and brightness in any outdoor condition.
Inside, the machine has 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, and pre-installed with Windows 7 Ultimate OS. The Handheld Algiz XRW rugged notebook packs Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 2-megapixel webcam. There is optional for Gobi 3000 3G module.
Weighs about 1.6 kg, dimensions of Handheld rugged laptop are 260 x 178 x 40 mm. Its battery is enabling up to 8 hours of runtime.
Price of Handheld Algiz XRW rugged notebook isn’t revealed yet.
