Hasselblad H4D (H4D-50 and H4D-60) medium format camera
Hasselblad, known as a manufacturer of high class and expensive photo equipment, has released a new SLR digital camera in the line of their medium format solutions, H System. Novelty called H4D series and is positioned as one of the first cameras equipped with autofocus system known as the True Focus. This system uses a special sensor, which monitors the horizontal and vertical displacement relative to the point of focus and helps re-focus the lens to compensate for these movements. This system, as well as the powerful APL processor can significantly improve image quality and allow the photographer to focus directly on the creative process of shooting.
Hasselblad H4D SLR is equipped with a system of automatic color correction and vignetting. In addition, it can connect to a computer interface for FireWire. The first representatives of Hasselblad H4D line become a model H4D-50 and H4D-60, differing resolution matrix. Hasselblad H4D-50 has the same 50-megapixel matrix of H3DII-50 camera, and its cost will be 19,995 Euros ($29,299). At the same time, the flagship model, Hasselblad H4D-60 is equipped with a matrix with a resolution of 60 megapixels and it is worth 28,995 Euro ($42,486).
It is reported that the Hasselblad H4D SLR camera will be on sale in November, while the youngest model can be expected not earlier than January of next year. Those who order for the H3DII-50 camera will have an opportunity for free upgrade it for a Hasselblad H4D-50 and the owners of H3D-31 and H3D-39 cameras will receive a discount on the purchase of a new the H4D cameras series. In addition, according to manufacture, the upgrade to Phocus software version 2.0 has become faster and more convenient to use.
