HiFiMAN HM-801, audiophile’s player
HiFiMAN is preparing to release HiFiMAN HM-801 PMP. HM-801 has a first class digital-analog converter and amplifier module, which allows owners to choose an amplifier to taste. HM-801 is based on Burr-Brown PCM1704 DAC and amplifier OPA627, it uses a memory card, SDHC (theoretically up to 128 GB).
The size of the player account 114 x 78 x 25.5 mm. Listen to music as you can using the SDHC card and connecting the coaxial cable from the CD player has an output for headphones and line out. Battery life time in standby mode is from 6 to 8 hours.
The player supports music formats:
* APE Fast/Normal/High
* AAC 16K-320 Kbps
* FLAC / WMA VBR 44.1 kHz (24 bit 96 KHz is planned in the future through software update)
* WMA 8-355 kbps
* OGG Quality 0 – Quality 10
* WAV PCM, MS-ADPCM, IMA-ADPCM
* MP3 (VBR) 8-320 kbps
Pre-orders accepted now. The cost for pre-order is about $ 600. Estimated retail price in June 2009 is expected to more than $ 700.
