Hitachi SimpleDRIVE Mini, SimpleTOUGH, and SimpleNET

Hitachi announced a new series of external hard drive that are connected through the USB port with a NAS adapter that will connect the two external drives in a network. The SimpleDRIVE Mini and SimpleTOUGH portable USB drives are available in versions of 250, 320, and 500 GB.

The SimpleDRIVE Mini has cost $89.99 (red wine) for 250GB, $109.99 (blue dusk) for 320GB, and $139.99 (carbon fiber black) for 500GB respectively. While the SimleTOUGH is waterproof and withstand drops from 3 meters high, survived the tread of 1998 Chevy 3500 cab truck (it is weighing one ton).

Finally there is the SimpleNET USB/NAS adapter, which provides connections for 10/100 network and two USB 2.0 port. SimpleNET USB/NAS adapter will cost $79.99.
