Hitachi introduced five new HDTVs, each of which has a 500GB hard drive capacity. Its hard-drive can record and store TV programs planned or downloaded content. This capacitive allows user to keep in HD movie about 400 hours of video. The five HDTVs, three are the plasma TV with diagonals from 42-inch to 50-inch with a 40000:1 contrast ratio, and two LCD TVs are 37-inch and 42-inch. All of them are included in the Hitachi Wooo TV series, and all support the work with a resolution of Full HD 1080p.
Additionally there is support for DLNA standard, there is i-VDRS slot. It also has televisions automatic brightness control. Plasma models will be available in Japanese stores on September 10 this year at $3000, $3500 and $4000 for 42-inch, 46-inch, and 50-inch TVs, respectively. Behind them, LCD TVs will appear in October at $2500 and $3000 for 37-inch and 42-inch model. Information on the appearance of Hitachi Wooo TV HDTV in the US and Europe is not yet.
