It’s no secret that the determining factor in the enormous popularity of netbooks has been their low cost. Indeed, if the price of a full laptop starts from an average of $600, it is quite a decent netbook can be purchased by a third cheaper. However, the HP has decided to change the tradition and presented a 15.6-inch budget laptop, Compaq Presario CQ61z, whose cost is only $399.
With this cost, HP Compaq Presario CQ61z comes with an AMD Sempron M100 2 GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, 160GB hard disk drive, AMD Radeon HD 4200 integrated graphics and DVD writer. Addition, there is a 5-in-1 card reader, Altec Lansing Speaker, D-Sub video output, 6-cell battery, and a 15.6-inch screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It has preinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium.
HP Compaq Presario CQ61z Notebook will be available at a price of $399 in the period from 18 October and 19 December this year. Of course, the power of its processor is not enough for games and other intensive tasks, and the battery life is unlikely to be large. However, remember that the vast majority of netbooks functionality is much weaker, which does not hinder the growth of their popularity.
