HP has release its new notebook in EliteBook family, namely HP EliteBook 8440 series. It comes with two model configuration including HP EliteBook 8440p and HP EliteBook 8440w. Both HP EliteBook 8440 series has feature a 14-inch LED-backlit display, up to 500GB hard drive or 256GB SSD, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. It is powered by Intel’s Core i7 or Core i5 processor and up to 8GB of RAM.

HP EliteBook 8440p notebook is a mobile professional needing manageability, security, upgradeable wireless, and enhanced system and graphic performance. HP EliteBook 8440p comes with a NVDIA 3100 graphics with 512MB DDR3 RAM.

HP EliteBook 8440w notebook is a workstation models and has NVIDIA Quadro FX 380M graphics with 512MB VDDR3 memory.

Both HP EliteBook 8440 series have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, SD card reader, DisplayPort, ExpressCard/54 slot, eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port, and optional Mobile Broadband with GPS.

The HP EliteBook 8440p has start price of $979, while the HP EliteBook 8440w is $1425.
