Hewlett-Packard (HP) has released one of the first laptop with support USB 3.0 technology.
Recall, the USB 3.0 standard also known as SuperSpeed USB allows data transmission at speeds up to 5 Gbps, which is about ten times more bandwidth of USB 2.0 (up to 480 Mbps).
The HP‘s first laptop with SuperSpeed USB support has become an updated model of ultra-thin notebook, HP Envy 15. However, the USB 3.0 is proposed as an option and only for ordering certain configurations: a quad-core i7 processor and discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5830 graphics with 1GB of memory. This configuration notebook has price starts at $1500.
HP Envy 15 notebook is equipped with 15.6-inch display with a resolution up to 1920×1080 pixels, Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/n, webcam, up to 16 GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive.
In the next two weeks, HP EliteBook Series, high-end business laptop line will be available for order with USB 3.0 support.
