Hewlett-Packard (HP) has official announced new laptops, namely HP Pavilion dv6i and HP Pavilion dv6a, which are made on Intel and AMD platform, respectively.

The HP Pavilion dv6i is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor, 8GB of memory, and up to 500GB HDD or 160GB SSD. They are packs DVD burner and optional Blu-ray drive.

The HP Pavilion dv6a is boasts a 2.2GHz AMD V120, 2.1GHz AMD Athlon II P320, or 1.6GHz AMD Phenom II P920 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 1TB hard drive, but lack Blu-ray drive.

Both HP Pavilion laptops are sports a 15.6-inch display with resolution of 1366×768 pixel, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, card reader, Altec Lansing speakers, and ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650 GPU with 1GB of memory.

Weight of HP Pavilion dv6i/dv6a notebook is about 2.4-2.5 kg. Their prices are expected of $650.
