HP Slate 7 tablet gets new price, starting $140

HP has decided to price drop of its latest tablet, the HP Slate 7. On official online store, this Android tablet is now available for starting price of $140. The HP Slate 7 tablet was officially launch in the US almost three months ago with initial price tag of $170.

Today, you can get this 7-inch device in two models — 8GB and 16GB of capacity. Moreover, the latter model is listed in two flavors — red and silver. The company is offering the 8GB Slate 7 tablet with cost $169.99, while the 32GB tablet is listed just $169.99. hp-slate-7_cheap-1

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet lands on shelves with a dual-core 1.6GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB / 16GB of onboard storage. Packed by stainless steel frame, it has 7-inch multi-touch display paired with a resolution of WVGA 1024 x 600 pixels. New HP Slate 7 tablet brings a 3.15MP rear camera, Beats audio sound, and soft-touch back panel.

As comparison, Google Play is selling the Nexus 7 tablet for $199 but comes with a faster processor and a higher resolution display. Amazon is selling its latest tablet, the Kindle Fire HD for cost $169 and up.
