Mar 9, 2009 Miscellaneous
In the land of the beer, HTC Company sued IPCom GmbH, because the Taiwanese company infringed on certain patents connectivity with UMTS handset used Windows Mobile and Android.
IPCom brought against HTC’s refusal to make payments for the patents that were acquired in 2006 from the hands of the limited liability Robert Bosch GmbH.
For its part, a German court upheld the violation HTC a few days ago and now IPCom announced the initiation of legal action against Google for its participation in the creation of some Android phones that violate these patents, which would be the G1.
For now, there is a conviction, but HTC risking a ban on the marketing of such equipment in Germany, plus a lush compensation, something he would rather because Germany has a penetration rate of mobile telephony 123 % thus represents an excellent market.
