HTC Desire U budget-friendly smartphone with Android ICS, 1GHz single-core CPU, 4-inch screen

The Taiwanese phone maker, HTC has freshly announced its budget-minded smartphone, the HTC Desire U (T327w). Based its pictures, this handset will be available in two colors – black and white.

HTC Desire U smartphone runs Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and boasts a 1GHz single-core processor. As low-end smartphone, the Desire U brings just 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage but offers a microSD card slot for expansion capacity space.

Its recently introduced Desire U smartphone packs 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 (WVGA) resolution and works in W-CDMA/GSM mobile networks. In connectivity terms, you can found WiFi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, and 3G. Like most smartphones, the HTC budget-minded Desire U phone brings a 5MP camera on the back

The power source of Desire U is a 1650mAh lithium-ion battery. Dimensions of HTC Desire U are 118.5 x 62.3 x 9.32 mm and weighs 119g.

Reportedly, the HTC Desire U single-core smartphone should be available in China and Taiwan. The price and availability on other markets are still unknown at moment.
