HTC today has official announced its new flagship smartphone, called the HTC Sensation (or the HTC Sensation 4G in the US). The handset is previously known as the HTC Pyramid. It is runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS with HTC’s Sense UI that providing a customizable active lockscreen, vibrant animations, sharper graphics, and new widgets.

HTC Sensation is claimed as the multimedia superphone and has an aluminum unibody. It is boasts a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, and a 4.3-inch touchscreen Super LCD display with qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass covered.

As camera feature on Sensation is sports a 8 megapixel rear-facing autofocus with dual LED flash and 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) video recording with stereo sound and up to 30 frames per second, and a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Connectivity of the HTC Sensation smartphone packs GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and also gyroscope, accelerometer, digital compass, proximity and light sensors. HTC Sensation has brings a MicroSD card slot (an 8GB card included), MicroUSB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Dimensions of HTC Sensation are 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm and weight about 150 grams.

New HTC Sensation is designed for use in GSM/WCDMA networks and support for HTC Watch. Its 1520 mAh battery is good for up to 8.3 hours in talk time, 350 hours in standby.

HTC Sensation will start selling in this quarter, in Europe via Vodafone, while T-Mobile in the US. There is no reported on pricing yet.
