The Canadian mobile operator, Wind Mobile has just announced the launch of Huawei Android smartphone, called the Huawei U8100. The handset was first shown at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in February.

The Huawei U8100 phone is running on Android 2.1 with support Google Maps with GPS Google, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, and Facebook. This WIND handset is sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA), a virtual QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, accelerometer, FM tuner, speakerphone, and GPS.

The cost of Huawei U8100 smartphone in Canada is CAD $160 (about US$156) no-contract.
