IAC Prodigy, new e-reader with EV-DO, HSPA, WiMAX and WiFi
At Computex, among a multitude of different netbook, smartbook, MID, smartphones and communicators have found a new device is a rare type of market is not so much, e-reader. IAC Producer is presented e-reader model called the Prodigy. It is equipped with screen-based electronic paper (e-ink), its diagonal is 6-inch 800 x 600 e-paper touchscreen. Moreover, the display IAC Prodigy is unlike most of the screens on the market of electronic books, touch-sensitive.
Another feature of the device is to support almost all wireless standards, from the EV-DO, HSPA, and WiMAX, for these networks, it is obvious it will be possible to download content. For reminds, Amazon’s Kindle is only have a single CDMA/EV-DO radio built-in.
IAC Prodigy will go on sale in the Taiwan market in the fourth quarter of this year. It is an interesting device to appear worldwide (if it happens at arrive on US or Europe), it is not clear.
