ICD Vega, Kitchen-Friendly Android Touch Device
Innovative Converged Devices (ICD) will bring the 2010 International CES Show, which will be held in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) in early January, the new Tablet PC, called Vega.
Despite the fact that prior to the presentation device for nearly two months, its main characteristics are already known. ICD Vega is based nVidia Tegra, combines ARM core, image processor, audio processor, graphics controller with ultra low power consumption, as well as a processor for video processing. ICD Vega is a kitchen-friendly Android touch device that supports High Definition entertainment and information devices that feature 3G connectivity.
ICD Vega computer is equipped with 512 DDR / 512 NAND, slot for microSD, a 15.6-inch touchscreen display with supports resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 1.3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, as well as the accelerometer. It is optionally possible to install the module to connect to the 3G mobile networks.
Dimensions of ICD Vega desktop computer are 373x254x16 mm and weight is less than 1.3kg. ICD Vega tablet PC is operates under the operating system, Google Android 2.0 Eclair. Its battery is provides up to four hours.
Sales in the North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East market will begin in the first half of next year, but cost of ICD Vega is not specified. ICD also will be released models with 7-inch, 11-inch and 15-inch size devices.
