Intel X25-V SSD gets 80GB with good price
Intel recently introduced a new solid state drive (SSD) series, called Intel X25-V, where “V” means “good price”. Intel also has plans to double the capacity of storage on the 25-V family in 2010.
According to manufacture, it will be able to launch affordable SSD with an 80GB capacity since uses the new 2x nm architecture. They didn’t tell about specific price, but Intel promises that the ‘V’ SSD series to be a very attractive price. The manufacturer also has plans to continue series of X-25 M (M – mainstream) and X25 E (E – for the enthusiast), but these SSDs are much more expensive and faster.
It informed Intel SSD V, F, and E Series will be available in various sizes. The manufacturer also announced that in 2010 will be release SSD with a 600GB capacity, of course, it will cost several times more than standard mechanical drives.
The SSD has main advantage, such as faster, more resistant to shock, damage and consume slightly less power than older device.
