Android operating system almost could be found at tablets on market, but Intermatrix has developed a new tablet running Ubuntu OS called the Intermatrix U7. This gadget is currently up for pre-order for price of $269 AUD (that’s meaning $275 USD). Shipping from Australia, the Intermatrix U7 Ubuntu tablet will start in October.
Intermatrix U7 tablet has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Alongside Ubuntu Linux OS, this tablet boasts a quad-core 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card slot.
The Intermatrix U7 Ubuntu tablet packs a 0.3MP front- and a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera. Other features are Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroUSB port, and 4000 mAh battery. Weighs 320 grams, its dimensions are 187 x 127 x 11 mm.
In addition, the company is also plans to release a 10-inch tablet, called the Intermatrix U10. But its specifications didn’t disclose at moment.
