iriver Smart HD PMP with native Matroska support
Korean company, iriver announced its new portable media player in local market, called iriver Smart HD.
A key feature of new iriver Smart HD is capable of playing HD video with resolution up to 1280×720 pixels. It is support MKV (Matroska). In addition, the iriver Smart HD player works with AVI, WMV, MP4, TP, MPG, and ASF (video), MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, APE, WAV and AC3 (audio), JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, and RAW (graphics) as well as TFT, DOC, XLS, PPT, PDF, HWP, HTML, HTM and MHTML.
The iriver Smart HD player is equipped with 3.5-inch touchscreen TFT display with support multitouch and a resolution of 320×480 pixels (HVGA), FM Tuner, 8GB or 16GB of internal memory and a microSD slot. Some versions of the iriver Smart HD is also equipped with a digital TV receiver and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
The battery of iriver Smart HD is an 880 mAh and provides up to 18 hours in music playback and up to 6 hours in playing video. Dimensions of iriver Smart HD are 62.1x108x12.7 mm and weight is 120g.
The cost of iriver Smart HD “budget version” in South Korea is $204. And the most expensive with 16GB of memory, a digital TV receiver and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g will cost $310.
