Itronix GD8000: Extremely Notebook from General Dynamics

General Dynamics introduced Itronix GD8000 notebook, which may use the military and staff of various fields that’s its work is related to unfavorable environmental conditions. The laptop can work at extreme temperatures, humidity and dust. In addition, the device can withstand a drop from meter height onto a hard, surface to work for 4 hours in the rain, as well as to operate at cold and heat (from -30 to +60 degrees Celsius on the scale). GD8000 with the standards of protection against external influences MIL-STD 810F and IP65/IEC 60529. In addition, the device has a powerful battery that provides long-term standalone operation without recharging.

GD8000 laptop is equipped with 13.3-inch touch screen and is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processors with low power consumption. According to the manufacturer, it may be the best solution for command centers, helicopters, military vehicles, etc. The device also features quite decent: 1.86 GHz processor, GPS receiver, a wireless, Wi-Fi adapter and up to 4 GB of memory. On the value of this General Dynamics “miracle technology” Itronix modestly fails to mention, in order to buy a GD8000 laptop, must be contacted directly with the company.
