JVC introduces new compact video camera in Japan called GC-FM1 PICSIO, which boasts a video recording quality. The new JVC camcorder aims to compete with a segment that is very fashionable and it is much easier to carry the video camera.
JVC GC-FM1 PICSIO has an 8-Mpx CMOS sensor capable of making pictures and video recordings in 1080p (1440×1080 pixel/30fps), 720p (1280×720 pixel/60fps), VGA (640×480 pixel/60fps), QVGA (320×240 pixel/30fps).
This JVC PICSIO camera has codec support MPEG, AVC/H.264 (MOV). The JVC GC-FM1 PICSIO brings a small 2-inch LCD screen, a HDMI output for connect to HDTVs. GC-FM1 has dimensions 97x53x17mm (length x width x thickness) and weighs 95g.
Finally, internal storage is not available and it will be store in SD/SDHC memory card. JVC GC-FM1 PICSIO will be available in end of September in Japan with priced at 20,000 Yen (about €152). There is no word about availability in other market.
