Kanguru Solutions offers a new external DVD burner, QS (U2-DVDRW-SL), which may suitable for netbooks, computers without an internal optical media reader.

This Kanguru QS Slim U2-DVDRW-SL External DVD Burner has been equipped with USB 2.0 interface (also serving as a power source) and 1MB of buffer memory. The Kanguru QS Slim U2-DVDRW-SL supports LightScribe technology that allows printing on labels tailored to the CD or DVD media.

Kanguru QS Slim U2-DVDRW-SL External DVD Burner is compatible with multiple formats, including DVD-ROM, DVD-R (DL), DVD-RW, DVD+R (DL), DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-Video, CD-R, CD-RW (HSRW, US-RW), CD-ROM XA, CD-DA, CD-Audio, CD-Extra/CD+, CD-Text, Photo CD, Video-CD, CD-G, Mixed CD and Enhanced CD, giving the user a wide range of choice. Recording to DVD discs takes place at a speed of 8x and CD at a speed of 24x.
