KDDI Japan has today announced a new 7-inch Android tablet, the SMT-i9100. The newly tablet is manufactured by Samsung. The SMT-i9100 is unlike the Samsung Galaxy Tab or ViewSonic ViewPad 7, the KDDI Samsung SMT-i9100 is lacks 3G but comes with Wi-Fi capabilities. It is runs Android 2.2 OS.

The Samsung SMT-i9100 Android tablet is packs a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel, 512MB RAM, 4GB flash storage, b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, stereo speakers, 2MP webcam, mini USB and a micro SDHC memory card slot. Unfortunately, its battery is enabling up to 2 hours of use, up to 12 hours of standby.

Size of KDDI Samsung SMT-i9100 Android tablet is 199 x 13.9 x 129.5 mm and weighs about 450g. There is no word on pricing.
