One of famous photography firm, Kodak has started selling its first Android smartphone at least in Europe. The Kodak IM5 is currently available for purchase in Netherlands and those who interested the hybrid phone/camera device can pick one up for €280 (around $315) no-term. There are also contract options with either of country’s three carriers.
New Kodak IM5 cameraphone made by Bullitt Group but it is utilized Kodak brand name. The device was officially announced back in January. It comes with a decent set of specifications. The 5-inch display is capable to delivering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. On inside is a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. And it comes with a microSD card slot that can accept external storage of up to 32GB in size.
Designed for simplify the user experience, the IM5 camera runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with Kodak UI overlay on the top. The handset is juiced by a 2,100 mAh battery. In term of camera, Kodak IM5 provides a 13MP sensor on the back and 5MP snapper for selfie. That’s paired with little manual control and focus.
