KTF, Korean company which is the second largest operator in the Korea, announced its new development. This is a new USIM chips (Universal Subscriber Identity Module) with large amounts of memory. USIM is located in the mobile phone networks for 3G, instead of the usual SIM card. It has identifies the subscriber and can be used to store various content. This may be a list of contacts, music, games and other files that you wish to write to the USIM. The advantage of KTF USIM card is that it is characterized by a sufficiently large amount of memory: 256 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB (these modules will be released later). Thus, when using the USIM in the mobile phone, some memory cards cannot be required.

In doing so, USIM can share information with your phone 100 times faster than conventional memory cards. Moreover, as SIM card, it can be moved to a new mobile device, if a user decides to buy. The KTF reported that the mass production of USIM market solutions is scheduled for the second half of this year, Q2.
