LaCie announced the Rugged XL, a new product line of external hard drives in a secure form. Its capacity is 1 TB. Winchester placed in an aluminum shell with a bright orange rubber band, passing on the butt end. Above appearance Rugged XL worked renowned designer Neil Poulton.
The device is equipped with internal shock absorbers and heat dissipation system. This hard drive is compatible with the PC and Mac. It is complete with software from LaCie, Setup Assistant for formatting, Genie Backup Assistant (Windows) and Intego Backup Assistant (Mac) for backup. Rugged XL supports both USB 2.0 and eSATA.
