LaCie Starck Desktop and Starck Mobile external hard drives
USA company, LaCie has announced two external hard drive, Starck Desktop and Starck Mobile, which designed by the famous French industrial designer, Phillippe Starck.
LaCie Starck Desktop External HDD is designed for connection to a desktop PC running Windows or Mac OS via USB Interface, front panel is equipped with a programmable touch-sensitive surface, touching which can run these applications in the settings or managing the work of the drive. The LaCie Starck Desktop external hard drive is made of aluminum case, 3mm thick and is equipped with an LED indicator, informing about the hard drive mode. The LaCie Starck Desktop portable hard drive is able to make backups of important data in the automatic mode. Starck Desktop external HDD is needs an external power supply. It is available in versions with capacity 1TB and 2TB; their costs are $130 and $250 respectively.
LaCie Starck Mobile portable hard drive is connects to notebook via USB port and built-in retractable USB cable which inside the shell. LaCie Starck Mobile external hard drive is not required additional power supply, gets the necessary power from the USB connection. LaCie Starck Mobile external HDD also supports automatic backup of data, it is offered in versions for 320GB and 500GB, its costs are $100 and $140 respectively.
