Lenovo has officially introduced its new ultrabook, the Lenovo IdeaPad U510. Comes with Intel Ivy Bridge hardware platform, the new one is also built-in DVD writer (optional Blu-ray) that becoming true a laptop (usual ultrabook hasn’t optical drive). The U510 is the Lenovo’s first ultrabook to have a 15.6 inches display.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U510 ultrabook has 15.6-inch screen and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Top configuration of this notebook is a 3rd-gen Intel Core i7 processor (there are 2nd generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7), GeForce 625M discrete graphics with 1GB of memory, 8GB of RAM, and 1TB hard drive with 32GB SSD as cache drive.
Lenovo IdeaPad U510 is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 (some models), 720p web camera, a SD card reader, HDMI and D-Sub output, two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 ports. In additional, the laptop brings stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theater V4 audio.
Weighing 2.2kg and 21mm thin (measures 15 x 9.8 x 0.8 inches), the ultrabook is pre-installed with Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro operating system.
New Lenovo IdeaPad U510 ultrabook is showcased at IFA 2012 and will be available in September at price of $679.
