Lenovo ThinkPad Edge series laptops, pics and specs
Lenovo has unveils its new ThinkPad Edge series notebook, which is a new laptop family targeting small to medium sized business customers. The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge series laptops include 13-inch, 14-inch, and 15-inch models. They are based on AMD platform (an Athlon or Turion processor) or an Intel family (a regular Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Duo CULV processor). Plus its options are support for 3G, WiMAX, Bluetooth, and WiFi. It is pre-installed Skype to make VoIP calls and security package, ThinkVantage Technologies.
The first arrival of new ThinkPad Edge lineup is a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 notebook. The Edge 13 has features a 13.3-inch LED backlit display with resolution of 1366×768 pixel, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, a 5-in-1 card reader, optional GPS, a built-in webcam and a 4-cell battery (up to 8 hours of battery life).
Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 notebook is boasts up to 4GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD (or 320GB HDD 7200rpm). New Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 notebook is pre-loaded with Windows 7 OS. Lenovo is offered in two bright color options: black (matte/painted) or red (only with glossy finish).
It will be available this week and Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 has starting price at $549 (about 383 euros). According to manufacture, the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 and 15 notebooks will be available in Q2 2010.
As mention before, Lenovo also prepared for CES 2010 with Lenovo ThinkPad X100e, T410s, T410, T510, and W510 notebooks. And it also contains the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 laptop.
